We are celebrating our Silver Anniversary! 25 years of volunteer service to the Greater Montreal community! To continue our work we need your financial help and support.
The Montreal West Island group began 25 years ago when Dr. Irwin Kuzmarov and some patients realized that after a diagnosis of prostate cancer there was a lack of up-to-date information and support for men and their families. Thus Montreal’s first Prostate Support Group was started.
Our mission is to continue to provide information, support, awareness and up to date education to those in the different stages of prostate cancer.
We do this by offering activities and monthly meetings showcasing:
Lectures by prominent speakers such as: oncologists, urologists, lawyers, notaries, physiotherapists, nutritionists, psychologists, yoga instruction, acupuncturists and other cancer support groups
Peer to peer open discussions
Public Outreach at hospitals and community centers
Quarterly Newsletter and Library borrowing service
Whole-day and week-end conferences
Help phone line
However times have changed and our operating costs have gone up which is why we are asking for you to help us continue helping you, and your prostate community to improve your quality of life. Note that 100% of funds raised goes to programming.
How can you help? You can donate via:
Credit card at Canada Helps link at the bottom of the page.
